Our seasonal, classic dishes change as much as the British weather and are inspired by our wonderful Hertfordshire countryside setting.  We focus on bringing you only the freshest, local ingredients in an all-day dining experience in our cosy restaurant & bar. Be it a traditional pub classic, a scrumptious roast or one of our colourful vegan dishes, our menu is sure to delight.

Our pub is spot-on for any dining occasion; from a hearty Full English or brunch-y dish in the morn, to a light lunch in the pub garden, succulent meat on Sunday’s, and every gorgeous mouthful in-between.

Two Courses for £18

Our January Set Menu is a celebration of mid-winter seasonality, showcasing some of our favourite winter produce from across the UK. Featuring West Country Beef, Bedlam Farm Heritage squash, Lincolnshire Brussel Tops and South Coast mussels (to name a few!) it’s available on weekdays until 31st Jan.

With two courses for £18 or three courses for £22 (go on… treat yourself to a pud) you shouldn’t need further excuse to get yourself to the pub.

Sunday, Sumptuous Sunday

Join us every Sunday for a freshly prepared and seasonal Sunday roast. We’re talking juicy meat, giant Yorkies, seasonal vegetables and proper gravy; and that’s before we even mention our carefully crafted Bloody Mary’s! There’s no better day to bring all of the family together.
